Market Insights Associate Manager - Pet Nutrition (Finance)

Job Description:

The Market Insights Associate Manager is responsible to contribute to the short- and long-term Mars Pet Nutrition growth agenda by bringing insightful recommendations rooted in market data analysis and understanding. The selected candidate will proactively identify key areas of opportunities and risks for the business from the external lens on an on-going basis by actively supporting on regular business diagnosis from market share and consumer data. It will also maintain data and knowledge assets and partners with vendors to support this, while supporting the digitization of key assets to drive efficiency and democratization of external market data to brand and customer teams.

What are we looking for?

• University degree or equivalent.
• Minimum 3+ years of experience with Consumer Insights & Market Intelligence Data Sources.
• Detailed knowledge of Syndicated Data and application tools.
• Consumer research related methodologies & application.
• Advanced Excel & PowerBI Skills.
• Holistic market insights experience covering areas such as Market Analysis and Intelligence, Consumer Panel and Stackline.
• Strong business acumen and analytical skills with expertise to integrate different sources of insights to derive actionable recommendations for the business.
• Ability to partner with vendors to identify suitable research techniques or data sources to address the business needs.

What will be your key responsibilities?

• Contribute to market understanding that shapes the growth & share ambition for PN Canada through the annual planning process and ongoing basis through S&OP+.
• Drive score-carding of innovation and core business performance through leveraging multiple data sources (Nielsen / Numerator etc).
• Support and partner for global transformation workstreams in the capacity of market insights expert.
• Provide ongoing perspective on market share and category growth projections.
• Engage with external vendors to drive regular delivery of data and ensure a valuable partnership.
• Support automation of key data sets through deep expertise in tools like PowerBI to drive data democratization.

• Holistic market insights experience covering areas such as Market Analysis and Intelligence, Consumer Panel and Stackline.
• Strong business acumen and analytical skills with expertise to integrate different sources of insights to derive actionable recommendations for the business.
• Ability to partner with vendors to identify suitable research techniques or data sources to address the business needs.
