Carpenter- Journeyperson (Finance)



Job Description

Civeo Premium Services Employees LP is currently seeking a Journeyperson Carpenter to join our team. Reporting to the designated supervisor, this role is responsible for executing construction tasks in accordance with drawings, including layout preparation, material handling, and assembly following best practices and specifications.

This is a three-month contract position with the potential for extension, operating on a 3-weeks-on / 1-week-off rotation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications
  • Construction/installation and maintenance of beams, floors, walls, roofs, exterior and interior finishing.
  • Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively
  • Maintain a clean and organized job site
  • Foster a culture of safety by promoting safe work practices
  • Supervise apprentices and other construction workers if required
  • Other duties as assigned
  • A valid Journeyman Certificate
  • At least 3-5 years' experience as a carpenter preferably in residential, commercial, light industrial construction and renovation industries with a preference given to Camp/Mobile Accommodations experience.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with certificates in Fall Protection (OSSA), Confined Space (OSSA), Aerial Work Platform, Working at Heights, Forklift, Scissor/Boom Lift, Rigging and Hand Signaling, and Standard First Aid.
  • Experience with EPDM and Dec-Tec roofing installation.
  • Good math and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Outstanding critical thinking skills.
  • Specialized knowledge and experience working with modular structures.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with others.
  • Flexibility and adaptability.
  • Valid class 5 driver's license with clean drivers abstract.
  • Ability to work 10 hours per shift in the remote site location.
  • Physically fit and able to lift up to 50 lb. on a consistent basis.
