Senior Advisor, Safety (Finance)

Civeo Canada is seeking a dedicated Senior Safety Advisor to support the general operations of our business units, with a focus on Housekeeping, Kitchen, and Janitorial services. This role is responsible for developing, delivering, and continuously improving safety and training programs to ensure compliance, operational excellence, and a strong safety culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote and enforce adherence to safety management systems and life-saving rules.
  • Conduct inspections, audits, and incident investigations; implement corrective actions.
  • Coordinate and lead emergency response exercises (technical and tabletop).
  • Deliver and maintain training programs, orientations, and mentorship initiatives.
  • Support operational teams with hazard identification, BBOs, and Myosh system use.
  • Provide coaching and feedback on SWIs, safety practices, and competency development.
  • Maintain accurate training records and contribute to continuous improvement of training materials and procedures.
  • Collaborate with operational leadership and competency advisors to refine training content and delivery.

Qualifications & Competencies:
  • Strong knowledge of applicable safety regulations, codes, and best practices.
  • Experience in training delivery, safety inspections, and emergency response.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to influence and mentor others.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills; able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficient in using safety management systems and digital tools (e.g., Myosh).
  • Ability to adapt to change and work collaboratively across departments.
  • Valid driver's license and clean 5-year driver's abstract.
  • Must be able to stay in camps in remote locations and work on a rotational schedule.

Preferred Experience:
  • Background in hospitality, facilities management, or remote workforce environments.
  • Experience with SWI development and competency-based training programs.
