QC Inspector (Manufacturing)

Job Description and Responsibilities

The QC/Line Inspector in our manufacturing process is responsible for conducting thorough visual inspections and measurements on both in-process and final products. This inspector is required to perform documented inspections at all workstations that the product passes through, ensuring traceability, workmanship, proper process handling, and preservation techniques while maintaining complete and accurate records. 

After completing new hire orientation and on-the-job training, the QC/Line Inspector is expected to adhere to the company's safety and quality protocols. They should be capable of independently transporting products to their workstation, setting up and maintaining the appropriate measuring devices, verifying product identification, and organizing and managing different product grades.

  • Work in a safe and environmentally responsible manner
  • Work in support of the Vision, Mission, and Objectives
  • Follow the pertinent quality system procedures and policies
  • Ensure calibrations of gauges are up to date and current
  • Know the specifications of each size of couplings
  • Physically able to lift weights up to 80 lbs
  • Intermittent grasping, lifting, bending and twisting
  • Basic knowledge of mathematics
  • Accountable to make improvements or corrections in line with the performance measures relative to the goals of the plant operations
  • Coordinate and lead the operation's workforce to ensure safe work practices and product quality standards are met
  • Routine and preventative maintenance on measuring equipment
  • Forklift Operation

Requirements

  • A minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent education will be considered
  • Preferred Assets: Experience in operating equipment and being mechanically inclined
  • Demonstration of proficiency with computer systems including Microsoft Office will be considered
  • Will constantly and consistently push self and others to be top performers and exceed goals
  • Will use logic and methods to solve difficult problems with effective solutions
  • Is widely trusted and can present the truth in an appropriate and helpful manner
  • Able to provide the information people need to know to do their jobs and make accurate decisions
